u won’t kill them all, clones pop up daily. best bet is hit hosts and registrars with abuse, most cheap ones cave quick. if they front cloudflare, sniff origin ip and file there. meanwhile keep ur brand ads + seo strong so fakes get buried.

Precisely this used to be my job, brand protection and management in tha online casino industry.

There is a LOT to be said about this, a lot.

I have dismantled one such entire network and even Brian Krebs wanted to hear and publish the story, but the owners decided against that.


Uusally, they have a landing page with a similar URL to yours, then the traffic is routed to the dirty sub urls of some rather bog brands or the people who operate these unlicenced casinos themselves, it depends.

Now, many are hidden behind reverse proxies and CF, and do host hopping, making it difficult , but this is a good thing.

Be ready for all kinds of retaliation, including ddos attacks and they often host their little websites on the same hosting platform you do, if you are not hosting offshore or bullet proof and you raise a complaint, you will most likely get a notice to find hosting elsewhere within 24hrs, the classic "the cancer was removed but the patient died, too" scenario.

So before you start filing DMCA and stuff, be ready to have a back up hosting plan, they will, if you anger them flag your website to wherever you host them, if the hoster says unlicenced gambling is illegal, youll have a hard time, best be ready to deploy and host on unmanaged off shore servers.

This is for hosting, the next thing is domain registrars, here, the registrars are generally very unresponsive and they will tell you to contact the host, which is BS, they can just rehost elsewhere, you need to take down their hosting and the url. ICANN is responsible for some top level domains, but not all of them.

And be prepared to make some noise, repeatedly, be ready to have proof of the redirects, they hide them with JS, this is challenging, be prepared to have evidence that they use your logos and name and that your domain is older.

If there is any American company involved, AWS, CF , whoever is incorporated in the USA, include FBI openly in CC, while it has no direct effect, it really pisses of CF and AWS.

I went after every single entity involved, the payment processors(some of which disabled live chat forever), the hosting companies of their servers(the hubs redirecting the traffic, this hurts them most), every casino url that received redirects etc.

Save yourself the time of contacting the casinos, you can extract the affiliate ID from the get requests and redirects but theyll all say theyll look into it and then do nothing, do not bother with them.

So that is your plan, if you do not account for all these steps, be ready, they will retaliate, but you should never give them a single inch, go for the full infra, take no prisoners.

Do you have a trademark for your casino brand?

I dealt with this last year. I reported the phishing sites to their hosting + domain registrar using DMCA/abuse forms and a few were taken down pretty fast. Check their WHOIS info first.

Your best bet is hitting the host and registrar with an abuse report because phishing sites using your brand usually get pulled pretty quickly once you show clear proof it’s yours

You can report those phishing sites to the hosting provider and domain registrar - they usually remove them quickly once you show proof of brand misuse.

Report phishing sites to their hosts, search engines, and authorities, send legal/takedown notices, monitor your brand, and warn your users.

Thats a tough situation but you can take several steps to protect your brand. first, report the phishing sites to their hosting providers and file trademark or DMCA complaints where possible you can also report them to Google safe browsing so users get warnings make sure your players know how to verify the official site and report suspicious links, and consider consulting a cyberlaw attorney if the sites persist
