Google won't use my meta description for a few product pages.
Instead it is using its own displaying the description as:
    "5+ Items | Short desccription
    Product 1
    Product 2"

It's really ugly formatted and doesn't look appealing whatsoever.
I don't want to remove the meta description completely but there must be a way to disable the list?

I have about 500 words of unique text before the list but not making a difference.

Google uses search snippets from any one of three places: meta descriptions, on-page copy, Open Directory Project data; for example if Google's algo thinks your on-page copy is irrelevant, it will create it's own version in the description, which in some cases, can be garbled, meaningless text.

Here's 5 things you can do to help Google give you the right description.
