How to remove forum SPAM backlinks [HELP]

Hello guys!

Some times ago i've added a Forum in my WP website with phpbb. I didn't have captcha on registration so soon my forum was filled with spam users and spam posts, obiuously all made by a bot.
The spam leves was so high that my hosting ghosted my site because they said that Google was going to put in blacklist my ip.

I want to say that my site was totally legit and white hat, my niche was technology, a simple tech-related blog.

I've deleted the forum and the links from my site but now i have lost all my first page on Google, and i've got PLENTY of spammy backlinks redirecting to my site. In the end i have hundreds of 404 Errors in Google Search Console that grows every day.

What should i do to resolve this situations?

Just wondering, did you asked for .. or your provider decide doing that alone?

In regards to your issue, phpbb provides some cool anti-spam addons + captcha is a must. Check the official forum of phpbb for more info.
Bonus1: Use the words blacklist and limit url posting from newbies.
Bonus2: try to track the bots IP and blacklist them
Bonus3: modify the registration form url .

My provider decided to go alone with this decision.

Thanks for your help, but i didn't need the forum anymore now. I'm trying to recover my site, and my rankings in Google, along with fix 404 errors and spammy backlinks that have a huge spam level score

Rebuild your website, use Google Webmaster tool to reindex your website and also deindex the spam urls.
It will take some time...

Other than manually vetting the links and removing those, it will definitely consume time. Or if you have some cash, you can try hiring a VA for $4 an hour or so, and let the VA do the job of vetting the profiles on your forum.
Otherwise, if you know coding, then you can in fact go into your forum's database, and set specific criteria to remove the accounts, like if accounts were created within so and so date, then delete. Or profile contains so and so link, then delete, etc.
You should set recaptcha on your account, in order to increase the security to prevent bot signups - that should lower the chances of low tier spammers from creating profiles and submitting links to your forum.
