How to register .ca domain name

Hi all,

The rules in godaddy for registering a .ca domain are that you have to be a resident/corporation in Canada.

How much do you think they check this? If I lie will it really harm me in the long run, has anyone found a way to register them without answering this question etc?

It has some nice links and I will not give it up lightly!

They don't check that hard, but be aware it can always happen. Once you register it I would put some privacy on it, so people snooping around won't find it that easily.

Use http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ if you are looking to get some addresses.

I haven't heard many stories of people getting them pulled back, but most .ca investors I know ensure that they have some claim to a legit presence.

No not honestly they will ever check this. I have registered domains over 10 plus years and not even a single phone call ever or any other verification. I would say register it with confidence
