how to register business name?

Hello; in few days i am going to sit with an accountant and file for small business corporation. i was wondering if filing corporation includes registration of business name as well? or is this somehting i will will have to do it seperately? Thanks

If you do have to do it seperately it isn't hard. You just go to your city records building and purchase a dba. In dallas they cost $16. Not sure where you are located.

Typically you will register your business name with the Secretary of State or other entity which handles that function. As a corporation, that too will be filed within your state and the Federal government. You should receive your Federal EIN (employee identification number) at such time. Normally an accountant or attorney will handle all of this for you. I would ask your accountant if he/she will handle all of this for you.

im trying to save $ thats why no accountant. I donot need DBA I am making a corporation

i do not need a BDA name because i am making a corporation., I have had DBA in past. do u have a corporation? did u had to register the name seperatly?
