How to redirect expired Domain

I have taken the domain from Godady and I have to redirect it to my site. Do I have 301 redirected from DNS Management to the forwarding domain.

go in your godaddy domain settings and change the nameservers to your site which u want to redirect the domain(check your website hosting for that)

don't do it from the registrar, use the.htaccess file.

Before you do anything, are you sure this is a good idea? I have seen people destroy their websites with 301 redirects. Remember the purpose of a 301 is to transfer a website/URL from one web address to another. Google isn't stupid. They know people fuck around with 301s, which is why their algo detects shit like this. So unless the niche is exactly what you had before, and the content is a very good match, I would advise you not to do it
