How to Redirect 404 Links

Can someone please tell me how to Redirect a 404 Page into a new URL? My websites categories has been moved into a new url structures from domain.com/category into domain.com/category/subcat
as most of my post are already indexed in google as domain.com/category and when i click the link its already 404. I want to redirect it into domain.com/category/subcat

My website is on Wordpress and Hosted on Digital Ocean and i don't know how to redirect. Thanks in advance

You should be able to find a plugin that lets you manually 301 urls.

301 the old url to the new one.

Please read about .htaccess it really helps.

someone told me it should be done in apache on digital ocean but i dunno how

You can do it with a plugin. I think the plugin changes your .htaccess for the 301.

This will help you to how to redirect.

Wordpress has a variety of free plug ins. The plug in which I use called REDIRECT. Search this and install it and through this you can fix your problem.
