How to redirect 301 properly ?

Hello,

I have a penalty website (webA.com). Now, I am redirecting 301 to webB.com. Maybe after 1 week, webB.com will be penaltied. So, what should I do next ? Redirect webA and webB to webC.com or just redirect webB to webC ? Thank you very much !

Personally I would go for a - c, as it is a that has all the links pointing to it that made it rank in the first place.
 
301'ng a penalized domain will pass the penalty forward, the only way to fix the problem is to fix the penalty. If you plan on redirecting the penalized domain you are just asking for a penalty on the new domain at some point. It's easier than ever to fix a penalized domain so why not just do that?
 
Answer is D: None of the Above. Only thing Penalized Domains are good for is Youtube.

Penalty does not pass, at least last Time I was doing that type of Project.

Also, Negative SEO.

This would be a more direct method to pass the links along though. If the OP goes A > B > C, then it's a bit safer for his money site (C) just in case if his 301s (A) were penalized. This would pass the penalty to B, but his site would still be safe. However, like you said, it would be more effective to simply skip to A > C.

Not necessarily true. You could simply redirect the penaltied sites also and add it to your 301s and just point them to a new site. Just rinse and repeat as you gain more penaltied domains.
 
Usually Penalties don't pass that quickly, (sometimes it even takes months). But every Individual domain is different, so You'll have to wait and watch. and Regarding your question, just redirect DOMA to DOMC.

Okay, I understand. So the main point is, redirecting a penalized domain to a fresh domain will pass the penalty to the fresh domain and results in penalizing the fresh domain but the time taken to pass the penalty is not known. Now my question is how to protect the fresh domain from not getting penalized and if it gets the penalty, is it possible to recover it by just removing the 301s from penalized sites??
 
If it's a penalty caused by overoptimization of anchor text in DOMA, then before your 301, build tons of brand and naked urls to DOMB.
When you do the 301, it would then have no issues taking on all those exact match anchors as the brand and naked urls will help in diluting them.

Your Web server thinks that your URL has been permanently redirected to another URL. The client system is expected to immediately retry the alternate URL.
