How to rank on SERPs

Hey guys, I'm wondering what specific factors Google looks for in a Reddit post and Reddit comments to rank them higher on SERPs and to show a particular part of a comment in the Meta snippet.

I'm assuming some of the following play a role:

Time of comment - the earlier the better
Keywords in the comment
Format of comment - paragraphs or lists
Word count
Upvotes
Subreddit size

Do you think this is correct? Are there any other factors?

I noticed Google often prefers concise answers over long paragraphs.
 
I think you are right, but I would remove ''word count'' as a factor. I think they are more concerned about the amount of answers than words.
 
They usually rank based on primary and secondary keyword count. The more comments the better. Subreddit is also very important.
 
Google also checks engagement (upvotes and replies), subreddit authority, early keyword placement, and clear formatting like lists or headings. Contextual links help too. To grab a snippet, start your comment with a direct answer using the exact search phrase.

If the reddit comment has a contextual link in it, it's better for the link to not contain any keywords and instead just be a linked portion of the comment (as demonstrated here).
