how to rank number 1

I have a word rich domain (a .info) of a keyword searched over 1mil times a month and about 1 mil competition, how do I dominate to number one?

Put up a site with optimized pages, and get backlinks, and wait.

There are tons of other resources, just g00gle it. Then like bizcredit said; wait. In my experience it take about 6 months to start seeing the results you want. I only buy .com domains, so I don't know if there's a difference with .infos.
The best thing you can do is have patience. You will probably get discouraged, thinking you're doing something wrong, but you just gotta keep at it.

I know basic seo and what to do along with a few helpful BH methods, but can anyone else help me get there? My plan might get me there but I might need that extra ummph.

Look for related keywords with less than 30k competition and approx 100 searches per day...

EDIt...Yes, if you search the forum you will find BHW methods to help get you to G's first page...however, you then need to maintain this rank with white hat methods as otherwise you site will rapidly get de-listed... If you know basic seo then you will know how difficult this is going to be with 1 mill competition.

Competing against 1 million is a far shot. Look for long tail keywords that are highly searched and rank for that.

It takes time to be number one but you can get many good backlink from :

"your keyword search" powered by wordpress "leave a comment" in Google search but you must install seoquake first where you can get it from :

You will find complete site relating to your keywords and also their ranks..
