I would start by first working on the site design ie making sure everything is nice and neat so the search engines will index your site.

1. Start adding articles- Focus on getting a few articles in a day that target the keywords home repair, home remodel etc. Don't necessarily focus on writing articles that will list those keywords but get a few good 500-1000 word articles that discuss strategies for home repair and home improvement.

2. Submit articles to different directories, this will help you get links to your websites

3. Work on building links, you can search the forums here to find either paid link services or use something like scraper to add links to your site.

That should get the ball rolling
