How to rank for google locations you cant modify

Luckily back in 2010 google maps scrapped a bunch of locations they had at the time, around 30 of them. I was able to claim about 20 of them because they gave the option for a phone call or email. I obviously could not do the postcard, since the client does not rent office anymore.

If I try to make a slight modification i get hit by Google team and they ask for a checklist of things, which is fine if they owned the places.

So all I can do is get positive reviews with keywords in them to get them to rank? Currently, the title is just business name with no keywords, luckily the right category.

Does it just come down the destination url and how well it ranks?

You can reviews and local citations. Citations and backlinks with work the best even there is no keywords in the business name.

Yes, you can also build backlink to associated website if any. This will also help.
