My customer want to start a business and she wants to rank for a keyword..

She already bought the domain and it don't have the keyword in there.

I want to know all the steps to take her to no.1.

shoot me if you think i cannot do it..

The niche is engineering, not directly engineering but a sub part.

    google adwords showing competition high:

    Global Searches:
    36,300

    Local Us Searches:
    19,700

    Google

    keyword
    2,930,000

    "keyword"
    2,320,000

    intitle:"keyword"
    194,000

    inurl:"keyword"
    127,000

    inurl:"keyword" intitle:"keyword"

The Title of this thread is misleading.

Please learn to form a proper question, the title should be "How do I rank for a Keyword?"

I am sorry for the title, if it's misleading. I had no false intention.

    Kirkonpolttaja
I like that "You can get anything rank 1 if you want to :)"

and that's what i wanna know, How..
i am sorry, i cannot share the keyword and other info, i dont want to hurt some one.. i hope you understand.

so please try to imagine, the thread is "How to rank for any keyword".

    Here
Something to consider when you don't have the keyword
    in the domain:

Which other keywords does google provide on auto-type when
that keyword is typed into the search engine? Take a look.

You'll want to use keyword grouping that google already sees
as relevant ... then utilize each of those keywords in different
articles on her website with the main keyword on the home
page. This way you will be naturally boosting relevancy scores.

Search the forum a bit, this is just touching the surface though.

My advice to you would be to abandon that keyword phrase and look for a similar one where you will fair better. This isn't rocket science but with the index, allinurl and allintitle numbers you are showing it will be VERY DIFFICULT if NOT IMPOSSIBLE to rise to the top of Google. At least in my experience. The trick to getting page 1 rankings is to 1st pick battles that YOU CAN WIN. That one doesn't seem like a winner to me. I know people get attached to keywords. I have done the same but there are probably closely related keywords or longer tail keywords that have much more favorable numbers. Back to the keyword research for you my friend.

Agreed, should have thrown in a good old question mark at the end.

And to answer the OP, no... don't think she has much of a shot to get into the top 3 with zero know-how unless she's willing to burn cash.

You're not going to take her to number 1 with that keyword, so choose a different keyword related to it.

Anyway, look over the basic SEO newbie guide (it's a sticky post in White Hat SEO) to get started. Then read over a ton of the threads. Lots of good info in here.
