How to rank facebook comment?

I have seen comments rank based on the number of likes on them, but i have also seen newer comments show on top. Is there an option in facebook page to decide what comments to show on top and what not? Or is it only how many likes it got and how much comments on that comment?

If someone can clarify this would be great.

The algo for it is too complex. They go by how long you looked at, likes, mouse hover, amount of comments, length of comments, shares etc.... You could do it multi accounting but it would be pointless as what's ranked high for you may not be ranked high for another person.

It would need to be a current event based on specific users who could relate. You would need a lot of fake accounts friended to the real users you want to see your ad. All of them would need to be connected to have the best chance of ranking. Then you would have to play the "shares & likes game" You then would also have to practice motion SEO. The act of human involvement for rankings. Meaning hovering by the post with your mouse and slow scrolling when when post is about in the middle of the page. So it is possible but not worth your time.

I don't think its too Complex, The Comment that gets Most Likes are shown on Top, and if the comment that has no or less likes than that commenter must be there in your Friend list.

What makes facebook decide they should not show me highest likes comment and show me only my friend comments?

I have made a comment on a post that contains 1500 comments , i upvoted it to 50 ( which is highest in those 1500 comments ). I see it when i click show more comments once from a totally separated facebook account.

That might be true but adding mouse hover and slow scroll algorithm.. I would not even think about trying to do that to rank a comment LOL

I work with a company that has been working on these ant-spam algos for years and facebook is using the same technology. It's more about them using statistics up until the point of popularity that is beyond algo numbers and becomes something that a human regulates.

let's cut the bullshitt here ... I have been doing this top comments method months now and it's always the same, months ago you could do it with fan pages but not anymore ... now you just got to have a bunch of accounts and automate the process with the apps API
