Hey Mat,
Awesome guide, I ve been only through the first 3 videos first but I am confused about what is the main purpose of scrapebox. I am a noob here so this is what I got.
You use SB to get a list of niche related URLs but also niche related anchors or generic anchors? Also, used to check if a site is indexed or not by search engines? If that is correct, that is all?
SB is essential to have?

Thanks for replying to my questions. It helped clear some things up for me.
One of my sites that has been penguinized has came back for a very important key phrase in my niche!
The tiered links def must be working as that's the only thing I've been doing as far as linking.
My main page (root domain) still seems to maybe have a penalty (a lot of exact match anchors).
I've been trying to dilute the profile with brand/naked/generic anchors.
The root domain used to rank for the keyword, but now a subpage is - so hey I will take that.

Scrapebox can be used to get a list of sites that you you can use to build links from.
It is important that your link profile differntiates from others so it is important to do.
You could however search around for free lists but then you still need a way to bulk check them to see if they are still indexed with Google, Scrapebox would do that =/

Only a few days after I've posted this I've noticed my root domain has come back for the keyword.
So now my site is holding position #1 and #2 which is interesting! It's a three word key phrase.
