Just setup a test campaign with dummy URLs/content to see what you get out the back end

If not you could just go with the mass blast approach and then just see what sticks!

Thanks. That's pretty much what I'm doing. Google put a nail in our coffin when they made some changes so it's been difficult.
 
OK so the mini web 2.0 module says to use different hosting servers and IP subnets for the main site and tier 1, which makes sense. Are you saying that I should also have different subnets and providers for the 3 miniblogs? What if I'm doing this with 2 main sites, do you recommend those main sites being on different servers and sharing the hits from tier 2 or the other way around? or is google not smart enough to realize that both your main sites are on the same server and tier 2 for all mini blogs have a different server than tier 1, but are on the same server themselves? It's going to get $$$

Really awesome tutorials, you have my respect for puting so much time into it.
A little suggestion from me though... I haven't seen anything on anchor text diversity, which is even more important after the second Penguin. You may want to do some tutorial on that perhaps? :)

Yeah thats not something I've covered but just keep exact match anchors to a bare minimum, throw a bunch of related keywords at it and naked URLs
 
I'm sure this is obvious but...you say it's much better to have control over your tier 1 links. Why is this? Is it so if you're site gets penalized, you can just remove the links pointing to them?
