I want to rank a website in every Spanish speaking country, but not to have multiple ccTLD or subdomains or subfolders

meaning i want my .com to rank for "keyword keyword mexico", "keyword keyword colombia", etc...

would this just be a case of building backlink anchor text to my site having all the different country names in it? seems like a much simpler process than having a different ccTLD for each country and ranking each one separately, which is the most popular recommendation at the moment.

Your page wont rank for a keyword its not targeting, so you will have to make a new page to target the other keywords unless you manage to target all them keywords in one post.

i want to target all keywords to the home page.

its about 15 countries in total so the anchor text profile would be something like "keyword keyword country" for each keyword and each country, but all pointing to the home page of one site

having a different ccTLD or subdomain for each country and ranking each one separately ; use hreflang - faster this way.

yes im aware of this option, but what im asking is if it is possible to do it all on the same domain. optimizing the same URL for multiple country keywords and actually rank in those countries

what are you seeing? ive got a site with a colombian ccTLD that's coming up in google searches in other countries for long tail keywords.

wondering if its possible to optimize with more control or if its too risky

    • Easy to set up
    • Can use Webmaster Tools geotargeting
    • Low maintenance (same host)
    • Users might not recognize geotargeting from the URL alone
    • Single server location
    • Separation of sites harder
This is basically what I'm doing. It's early for me yet but I'm starting to get international traffic. I have a .world domain.
