First focus on fixing the On-page SEO of your post (updating meta desc and tags, image alt tags, using relevant inbound and outbound internal links to and from the page. Also, make sure the canonical URL is concise and to the point).
Share the article on social media and forums. If possible, buy some social signals to create a viral effect in the eyes of Google. It helps in legitimizing the backlinks to your new post.

Then start building links. What kind of links you want to build is up to you. Niche relevant links help the most.

SEO is a long term strategy, and it may take time for your article to rank. Consistently producing high-quality content, optimizing it for SEO, and promoting it effectively will increase its chances of ranking well on search engine result pages.

I don't find ranking a single article easy at all. It will take several months before you can see some results and that too when you have several articles pointing towards the first one and you also have done all the off-page and on-page SEO properly.

Ranks are achieved over time with SEO, so it may take some time for your article to rank. The more quality content you publish, the better your chance of ranking well in search engine results.

It's important to keep in mind that achieving a high rank in search engine results doesn't happen overnight. It takes time, effort, and a solid SEO strategy to climb the ranks. With each new piece of quality content you publish, you increase your chances of ranking well. So, don't get discouraged if your article doesn't immediately hit the top of the search engine results page. Keep publishing great content and your efforts will pay off in the long run.

First of all good on site would help you in ranking then backlinks would help mate .

First and foremost, focus on your on-page. Make sure you do proper keyword research and optimize your content accordingly. Then you can begin building niche relevant links for the target keywords

You are having a blog, you can generally get keyword according to your niche. Get the help of the link below,

With that keyword, build an article of your own, if you are good in English or hire someone.

Post that article and wait for it to rank.
If not, check the top competitors for that kw, what they have done to rank.
Try to follow it.
Also keep posting articles related.

if you mean you just want to rank for only 1 article , it is very very hard to give answer

Ranking a single article requires time and effort. To succeed, focus on ONPAGE SEO, Keyword research, and following content creation and optimization best practices.

depends upon which niche you are seeking to rank your website for and what are the keywords that you want to rank for.

Creating basic content is also a great strategy because it makes your site authoritative in your niche. As for backlinks, guest posting and private blog networks (PBNs) can be effective, but don't forget to pay attention to quality and relevance. м

Ranking a single article isn't easy. Do on page of your whole website. In your website connect your article to various pages giving it more importance. Build backlinks for each page where the link is mentioned. Make More links for the page that you want to rank. Use different keywords for that article page. Start with secondary keywords then go for your main keyword.
Hope this helps.

Time and patience,It's important to note that ranking a single article takes time. SEO is a long-term strategy, and it can take weeks or even months to see significant results.
