How to Rank - A Quick Guide for Newbies

Depends on the service.

Generally speaking, no, direct to a money site would work better but that highly depends on link quality.

No problem. Feel free to ask away with any questions you have.

Hi lightningblitz,
Thanks for the great thread. I have started a website and I am a total noob to SEO. When you said to make some web 2.0s, would making say 20 of them on blogger be ok? Do you need a different account for each one? And for the article itself, does it need to be unique or can you just "borrow"it from somewhere else? And please may I ask how long you space out putting links to your website for each one of these 2.0s? Because I get that you have to wait say 2 weeks for them to age, but then if you linked all of them to your website at one time, it would look at bit suspicious? Would one per day be ok, or should it be more spread out? And then later on when you say to build a few hundred Contextual Do - Follow links to each 2.0, how do you do this sorry? Is it just commenting on social media/blog posts many many times for each web 2.0? Sorry for these questions, which I'm sure are very basic and I'm just being stupid, but thank you very much if you can help at all :)

I use a link building program to build those links.

I build blogs on different platforms.

I try to scatter blogs at different dates, but google picks them up when they want so I do not concern myself with it.

How long to see the results after building web 2.0s and sending links - weeks or months?

That entirely depends on a lot of factors. With some tier two link building you are looking at weeks on the long end of things.

Thank you very much for the reply. May I please ask which different platforms you use for blogs, and how many posts you make on each platform? And do you make them with separate accounts? And please could you tell me what your link building program is, if you could be so kind? Also, what would you suggest please about content for the 2.0s? Can you copy it? Thank you very much.

The article on your 2.0s can be all the same exact article if you want to save money. Take your article, manually edit the copy for as many 2.0s as you have. Then put it through a spinner. Once it is spun, re - read it and edit out mistakes. Now you have as many unique articles as you need.

I'm a little bit confused on this. Honestly, I have 3 "posts" per web 2.0 and making 20 of these, means I need 60 posts, its getting a bit overwhelming.

So, you are saying to just rewrite your article 10 times in word or something and post it to each of the 10 web 2.0's? Why would I put it through a spinner then if I just manually re-wrote it?

How many pages do you do per 2.0? I'm already burned out on making these.

Thanks :)

I use five different platforms for the first five pumpers I put up. Wordpress, Blogger, Overblog, ect. There are a lot of Web 2.0 lists (I have one in another thread I made about SEO somewhere). I just make sure to get a few different platforms.

I use GSA for most of my automated link building.

You can copy content. Just make sure you edit it so it is unique and make sure it is readable.

For Web 2.0s I want at least three pages.

1 - Article
2 - About Us
3 - Contact Us

You can have more articles if you want.

If you hand write your articles (You do not need too), spin it so it is unique and manually edit it so it is readable. By spinning then editing you are guaranteed to get a unique and readable piece of content. It is more work but I have them stick longer this way.

It is a lot of work, but once you get into the process of doing this it comes quicker. Break it down into parts. Do all your writing, then all your spinning, then all your account creation, ect. Break it down and hammer one step away at a time. After a while it will come quicker.

Great share OP..
Gonna implement some of points shared in method to rank my new niche site..
Currently am using strategy to rank website without backlinks and it's going good but time frame for ranking is more...

Thanks OP for your awesome thread! Learned something again! (: I have a few questions.

1) For your web 2.0 sites (10/20/30 ,etc.) , are the anchors mixture of branded/naked/generic? No money kw is used in web 2.0 i assume?

2) For GSA blasts, from what i looked around in market place, i don't see sellers offer steady link velocity e.g. 2-3 links per day. They only offer e.g. 1000 contextual links at 1 blasts. So what alternative do you offer for this situation? or do you meet any seller that offer customize GSA services?

3) Having an own GSA system would be costly and time consuming is it? As we would need to purchase captcha, etc and learn how to start an own project etc? :O

Thank you!
You already answered to your quesrtion/s ;).

Most people know the answers before they ask but are just not sure they are right. This is the kind of thread to tell people, 'stop thinking and do it.'

That is usually the push most people need.

Just like a new site takes 2-3 months to rank. Will I NOT see a boost from these NEW web 2.0s until THEY begin to rank?

They will pass link juice and those imaginary metrics as soon as they get indexed.

But they do help more once they rank for long tails.

Hi lightningblitz,
Thanks for the great advice. For the web 2.0s does the content have to be relevant to your website that you will later link it to? And here you said
For Web 2.0s I want at least three pages.

1 - Article
2 - About Us
3 - Contact Us
Do you put about us and contact us with your real information and how do you use a contact us? And when you put the link it, I take it you only put it in the article, not the about us or contact us page? And where you said you made a web 2.0 list in another SEO thread, I can't find it so please could you be so kind as to link me to it? Thank you very much :)

I will try to dig it up tonight.

contact us is a plug in with a fake email address and about us is made up information.

Ah ok, thank you very much. I have got the free trial for GSA but I have no idea how to use it to get links to my website in "create a new project". Do you think that you could please possibly give me a quick guide on how to create a new project for each type you mentioned and what category to select for each? Thank you very much.
