How to rank a links collection website

Hi,

Let's say I put together a website which is a collection of useful links in a specific niche, so only a huge list of links (with some brief description for each category of links).
something like this:
1. Garden supplies
Description goes here
link
link
link
...
link
2. Garden plans
Description goes here
link
link
...
link

etc.

So what options are there to rank this in Google?

If it is going to be a 7000+ words post with lots of details about each link then it might be possible for you to rank for a long tail keyword with low competition..

From my experience I dont think it will work.. since google doesnt like thin sites with thin contents.


The best bet would be link building as far as ranking is considered..

This happens fairly regularly. Google's algorithm isn't set in stone. Google tunes and tweaks how it scores pages, links, text, etc., in hundreds of ways.

Just analyze your competitors sites for your targeted keywords & plan your site better than others and increase site authority by regular link building. These things takes time but will give long term results if you follow the basics
