How to rank a forum on google?

Hello!

First off, I am almost 100% sure that I am in the wrong section, but I'm still going to ask it here because I have no clue where to do it.

A friend of mine recently made a forum. It has ~350 people registered in a few weeks, which, without SEO, is a miracle. Now, as I told him to, he wants to do correct SEO for the website in order to rank the website - but after searching for services on here, I only saw services which were more oriented for blogs - which we aren't.

So here comes the question you've been waiting for, how does one rank a forum on Google? and are there services available on this forum do to so, as none of us both nor the staff or the website knows how to?

I excuse myself for this retarded question, but we're not really good at this, so I might as well ask.

You need to learn and be good about these things, because if not you will never know what to buy, like said before most of them are crap and near to all of them if you want my point of view, these services are designed to be selled not to rank any sites, also once you know you will be able to do it by yourself.

I'm pretty you can find two kind of people on this forum:
- People bought SEO package Xmutant 3000 at $127 (Earn nothing from IM and have a 9-5 job)
- People doing SEO by themselves (Earn from IM and are already full time IM or near)

You have to start somewhere, when I started SEO I even bought links from fiverr (the shitty links you can find on the planet heart)

Buy some PBN links or get a PR to the homepage of the forum. If the forum is setup right, the link should flow through the sub sections to the posts.

I agree with this. I could not express it myself better: "these services are designed to be selled not to rank any sites". This is valid for most of the services.
