How to raise my selling limit

I want to cry

I can sympathize with you man. I'm also from outside the US and have been listing in ebay US for one and a half years. My limit is still 10 items. I have appealed more than 10 times, and failed each time. I have no complaint against me, have sent out all items within 2 days upon receiving payment, and only sell genuine items. Yet, I'm still stucked with 10. They must have their own reasons, but i just don't get it yet:)

You need to have multiple stealth accounts. And building a good account with higher limits nowadays is veeeeery slow. But the main question will be not how much money is my limit, but how many items I can sell? If you sell them all on an auction type of listing.....ebay will not stop your listings if they go over your limits.

Are you selling in a category with a high fraud rate? Clothing, handbags, electronics, etc

You'd have to be a long time seller with really good feedback. I think for accounts made a while back, there wasn't such a thing as sell limits.

This is incorrect. Users who has tens of thousands of feedback with accounts creating in 1999 have also been limited.

The truth is eBay is a pain when it comes to raising limits. You need to wait awhile before they will
raise them. After your feedback is higher they will raise them :)

The most important thing you need to do is keep your feedback at 100% and keep your DSR scores high. Every 30 days ebay reviews and upgrades your limit if you ask for it. Even if you don't need an up in your limit still request one as it's better to have ahigh limite and not use it than have a low limit and need to do more. With my ebay account I was at like 7k and less than a year later I'm up to 250K, they say they will up you 33% per 30 days however I've gotten them to do higher.

My focus on ebay is to satisfy all customers to avoid 1 or 2 dsr ratings.
If I get one, I am refunding the person and paying him for his time spend on the auction.
All my customers are Kings, It is part of the business if you wnat to make money on ebay.
I used to have fun with ebay, like ebay and recommend ebay.
Now I think the same way that ebay thinks about ebay, how can I make the most money with ebay, it is a business and nothing else. Whatever niceties, community etc. ther is, it is just part of ebay's business model and now part of my business model.
I learned from the (second, next to Amazon) best how to keep business and fun separate.

Not that long...Just let the account age 3 months and get 5 feedback. Make sure your selling close to your limit
every month and send in an email. Avoid calling at first. But if necessary sure call. Do not get on their nerves though. Remember you need them but they do not need you.

You can either wait 3 months or try contacting ebay :)

3 months is not enough for some accounts.
I can't quite understand the criteria to lift the limits.

Can someone please post a definitive method to lift the selling limits without calling ebay?

That and the definitive way how paypal 21 day hold works.

Thanks

Perhaps I must be doing something right then, because I currently only have a 45 feedback with 15k/300 limit . Granted, my account is 4 years old.

There are ways around this.. I got mine to start at 100/$5000 limits.. and in case you're wondering.. these are accounts under a week old :) no more pesky wait time and feedback requirements. hehe.. either stealth or regular ebay accounts.. works the same.

There is no way to raise your selling limits at eBay.

It's all done through an automated system that looks at a group of actions you perform on your account.

1. What category you are selling in
2. Ticket amounts you list at
3. Your reputation status
4. Having a verified account
5. How you ship
6. Do you opt in to global shipping
and many more...

The only logical reason eBay uses limits is to stifle success. It makes no sense to use listing/selling limits unless you are trying to boost your bottom line profit by way of sending more sales to your top rated sellers. This actually has been proven when you see a small seller MC999'ed off the system for selling an item that a top rated seller gets away with selling. Or a VERO complaint has been filed on you not on the dozens of top rated sellers selling that very product.

eBay doesn't reward success, it prevents it.

I know how to increase the limit on any new ebay account to 100 items and $5000, it's pretty easy and can be done to any new account. You can always contact me on Skype if you need help with this
