I want to be able to put audio on a WordPress blog. When a visitor comes to my website, I want to add a welcome message. Is anybody know how I can do this? Thanks so much.

I tried Sound cloud. I am not sure about it yet. Has anyone ever used sound cloud for websites?
SoundCloud is good for artist, podcasters, and people want to build a following by posting numerous audio material. When you have SoundCloud with autoplay, every time you visit that page... The audio will play. I think a lot of people will get annoyed of that welcome message after a while. You should definitely try to find a plug-in or script that would allow you to play audio and it remember the visitor for up to an x amount of days, so it doesn't keep replaying every time they visit the page.

Find some sort of javascript and link to the audio file.. it will work.

That annoys people, way better to get an intro video made on fiverr and embed that, give people a choice, ten years ago it was done now it's considered naff.

You can use HTML5 audio tag to embed the audio file in your page.
