Hi everyone,

I manage a website that already has a lot of content in it. However, this content is rather "informational" content for like Adsense or whatnot.

I would like to have a store installed into the website via subdomain (for example store.mysite.com) and monetize it with Amazon. Is there some sort of plugin that does this?

Thanks all!

put magneto in the subdomian and you are good to go, the learning curves are bit steep so if you are ready to spend some time you could make store out of it . or else you could add the amazon astore in you sub domain I suppose. there is some plugin available here which could srape content from amazon and add to your sites that is a better option

If it's for wordpress, I believe you are not able to select the actual URL with bloggerpress or WP Commerce. However, you can install a separate wordpress installation on the subdomain of your website, and customize it into a store. Otherwise, you'd have to hard code it into the subdomains files.

You do not need a plug in for this.
Create a sub domain record like store.domain.com and just in domain.com put a link to the store

Thats all!!!

You can also install wordpress in that subdomain and use woocommerce or a similar plugin for wordpress. Keep it simple with wordpress, it works really nice !

Magneto the theme? Will this work for Amazon? I want all the nice buttons & star reviews and whatnot.
And how is there a learning curve, I don't understand? I'm pretty sure it's just install the store into the subdomain, get content, & rank? Pretty easy right?
just want to learn how to install the store not on my main page, but on subdomain.

Can u suggest me some themes that are excellent with Amazon? I'm going to do the seperate wordpress installation

I'm not actually selling stuff, I'm promoting the stuff that Amazon is selling. So does WooCommerce work for Amazon?

Thanks for all the replies, guys! Gave you all rep and thanks!!!!

There are several plugins that will allow you to sell amazon products from your main site and save you some hassle. I use one, and its a breeze.

The Magento idea is good, what you would do is install Magento into a subdomain, theme it close to your site, and add a link from your site (Store, Products, Etc) to the subdirectory and of course a link in Magento back to your site. Magento is a great product and overkill for most folks!

If you use wp-ecoomerce or woo commerce, you just add your products to them. There is a woocommerce plugin to add amazon affiliate sales to your site, the one I know of is 25 at code canyon.

Or look for a amazon affiliate store to add to your WP site, simplest solution! There is probably one or 2 in the download area, if it works for you, buy it and support the dev!

But Magento is not a theme for wordpress, its a separate ecommerce store.

Well, I do apologize I should have made this more clear: I want to set up a review site that is separate to the actual site (because the actual site is really just informational stuff). I want to put reviews in store.mydomain.com or reviews.mydomain.com

Do I just install WP to the separate subdomain and find an Amazon theme that lets me write my own articles/reviews? I want to put my own reviews (1000 word article) unique.
Any theme that does this?

I don't know much about Amazon templates, but I had a client once that dealed with this. Basically I designed something like this (no coding).
Search on Google for "free wordpress amazon template" and go to wpthemesense website. That's where I got my inspiration, I think you'll find it useful.

There are many Amazon Affiliate Ready 'Wordpress Templates' out there, You may need to read individual offering by going on all individual pages but its worth a shot.
