How To Protect my Website IP from google cloud platform with wordpress?

Hi, guys, I would like to ask if how to protect my website IP with WordPress (bitnami)

I created my wordpress website from google cloud with bitnami wordpress and it gives me external ip url which directly to your wordpress website.

I bought a new domain from godaddy and make a new DNS record to put the external ip to godaddy after that now I have the wordpress website with my custom domain and then I add my custom domain in cloudflare to protect the website but how about the external IP because it can be still accessed without cloudflare restriction?

Do you know how to protect the IP?
Is it protected because it is implemented with bitnami?

Yes it can be accessed directly. But the point is no one will find it since you using cloudflare.

Still though you can restrict access to your IP address. But what are you running wordpress on a VPS ?

You can’t make people not connect by using the ip. The goal is to hide that ip so potential attackers don’t get the server ip and instead the cloudflare one which is protected. So you should hide your server up, make sure your Mx records are not exposing the real server ip.

Not sure what you meant by protecting ip from google cloud platform? Did you mean google spider/bot?

In any case, cloudflare does mask your ip. That is your domain will show their ip address.

But when you are visiting your ip (not domain) - you are bypassing cloudflare and visiting your server straight away.

You can block someone visiting your server by ip address (not domain). If you are on apache this thread might help -

my problem is when pinging it with command promt it shows my real server ip.
How to setup the cloudflare to protect the server ip or use a cloudflare ip?

Add your IP in cloudflare and click on the cloud beside it make sure its colored orange this means now the IP being proxied using cloudflare ips. And for the ping issue this is probably DNS cache. Run this command in windows cmd :

PS: DNS updates may take up to 48h to fully propagate.

use cloudflare bro its literally free. everyone uses it to hide their server ip.
