How to protect against toxic backlinks campaign

Hello everyone,

My website is spammed with many toxic backlinks (I see them in SEMRush Backlinks Audit tool, many toxic backlinks are coming to my website, every month, since several months)
Would you have an idea on how to clean all these toxic backlinks?
I know that Google offer a tool (disavow tool) but I would like to know if there are any other solution to this problem? (because the disavow tool does not seem to work that much for now)

The disavow tool works but it takes time. Since from what I know, a mail is sent to the webmasters of the websites to remove those links. And once they remove those links, that website is reindexed and when your link is removed from that site it disappears from your backlink audit.
 
Recommend you to stay away from link schemes or practices that violate search engine guidelines, such as buying links, participating in link farms, or engaging in excessive reciprocal linking.
 
Nothing you can do really... you can't possibly stop sites linking to your site.
Also, disavow tool is useless, from my experience.
Have you suffered any ranking drops? If no then just forget about spam and move on.

I did suspected some toxic backlinks being responsible of a rank drop (I have a lot of competitors, some may be using toxic technics) but after a bit of research, I observed that SEMRush reported a lot of backlinks that do not actually exist anymore.. for my website but also for a lot of other websites.. I think this is a bug in their Backlinks Audit tool (I will report them because this is a huge bug)
I may have abused Google disavow tool (reported more than 2000 toxic domains..) and I think it did affect negatively my global ranking.. I removed all the backlinks of the tool now..

I think for wour website is spam with google
 
so basically , any competitor can kill your site by buying cheap toxic spammy links ?
 
If disavow hasn’t been effective, consider reaching out directly to the webmasters of these sites and request removal of the links.

Securing more legitimate, high-authority backlinks can help dilute the impact of the toxic ones.

Thanks to semrush you've reported 2000 domains trying to stop you from achieving greatness and world domination.
 
In my Opinion, Google doesn't care about the bad links which it considered as the negative seo.
 
You can try reaching out to site owners to remove bad links, as that, along with using Google's tool, might help clean up your site's backlink profile.

Buying links is compulsory if you have a big website. You stand no chance without links.
 
There Are Many Toxic Links As Part Of Negative SEO, Google Ignore It. Nothing to Worry.

This is a general statement. Majority of cases it will not give big impact but there can be exceptions one of which OP might be currently facing.

Reach out to the webmasters of the websites hosting the toxic backlinks and politely request them to remove the links. Provide specific information about the links and their locations on their websites to make it easier for them to identify and remove.

Is is practically even possible ?
 
The only solution to this is to make a lot of good quality backlinks for your own site.
