How to properly rank a EMD without over optimized penalty?

Hey guys wanted to see if someone has a detailed explanation on how to rank an EMD properly to avoid an over optimized penalty.

What I have gathered so far is to:
1.Keep the site high quality with high quality content without over using keyword in the EMD.
2.Be careful with anchor texts.

The EMD is within a local niche. But how do I create content without over using the keywords in the EMD. For example if your EMD is LeakDetectionPlumberLosAngeles . com How would you be able to keep those keywords to a minimum? Or is what you have to keep to a minimum "leak detection plumber los angeles" ? (not necessarily the words within the EMD but the same exact combo of them)

And for anchor texts, do you just get a bunch of links with random anchor texts and have about 3% exact match? or combos of the exact match?

Yes vary the websites anchor text but also go slow and wait before you send much powerful links to the EMD. Going too quick will result in a temporary sandbox with exact match domains.

Put simply, your site gets stuck. Personally I go easy for the month or so , I do this with all sites, then gradually build things up. Thing is EMD's are pretty much call taken, I feel google still likes EMD's despite what alot of people say, but it will depend on the competition in your niche. Just keep link building as natural as possible for a bit before getting more serious.

Like for example stuck at #45 for most kws ?

Well, I managed to get rid of over optimized penalty by diversifying my anchor text portfolio and adding more "click here" "visit the website" and url links. I guess this is a good way to protect your website from the penalty.

Yes typically an EMD will enter the serps higher than a non EMD (with little or no linkbuilding) page 4 or 5 (#45) is an average position for a new EMD in a moderate, lower search volume niche and is perfectly normal. Typically it's hoover around there for a little while, go easy with the links, sure build some but slow and steady, in other words, naturally.

drip feed social signals
manual comments and guest posts first month..
Rankwyz 100-200 drip feed on web 2.0 second month

tier 2 use GSA and focus on indeing tier 2

3rd month you will be on page 1-3

I prefer building my own networks, I don't buy blog posts on sites with articles on every niche under the the sun, all network sites are related in some way to the target niche. I don't bother with social signals I find them a complete waste of time. I rarely use web 2's if I do I'll point some high quality links to the them, they are worth very little on their own. I prefer owning the sites the good links are coming from.

GSA etc will work but the links tail off pretty quick nowadays. Avoid alot of the directory type links, these sites duplicate the sites and simply place them on new domain and charge $5 to remove each link. It can be done by adding the domains to your HT_ACCESS file and marking them as spam referral, this way they remove the links for free because it affects their site with the link get returned but it takes a while as they are continually replicating content.

How about the content keyword question as well? about how to not use your keyword to much in you sites content when your site is all about that keyword?
