How to promote website?

Hello guys,

I am openning a free classifieds website that has really little content right now like 100 ads and we had launched this week but, results are not that good and I would like to ask you what are the best ways you can recommend me to promote this website, I got already some keywords on first page, but, I only get like 3 new users creating ads a day, how can I improve this?

SEO isn't really what you need at first not for this type of site, way too competitive unless your gonna spend $x,xxx on SEO.

Some quick ideas...

Get your friends & family to sign-up
Ask your friends and family to ask their friends
Get a sim with unlimited text and text users selling stuff on other classified sites
Make e-mail lists with a free online service like mail chimp and make lists of classified sites users and e-mail them
CPC with Google, Bing, Facebook
You could try and partner with a free cashback site like topcashback or quidco, offer their users 1c - 5c when they post a legitimate ad on your site

Thanks man, awesome info, I am giving out some features ads on the beginning in exchange for users to share their ad on facebook, twitter, google+1 in exchange to give some social signal

Yes and no man, because an classifieds website is like a forum if there is no movement and content is not created people dont stay or even worst dont come back, so, I need both!!

Love the ideas, did most of them, the only one I did not do is the sim unlimited text, where I can get that? I am using whatsup with an android emulator and works pretty good so far, but, I would love the text, can you give more details?
