How to promote content writing services ?

I am thinking to start a adwords campaign promoting my article writing service. Just wanted to know if anyone has tried a similar thing in past and whether it was profitable ?

Where will you start the campaign? I am bit ignorant about it, could you please explain. And why don't you buy a banner space here on BHW. I can see lots of advertisements in the form of banners here. And I am sure these would be paid advertisement. You can also try your hand there and see if thing work out. Btw never wait for a good thing, I quickly went through your thread and noticed your thread is not still as popular as the one started by some other senior members. All the best. Personally, I'd suggest against a campaign on AdWords, mostly because the price will probably be astronomical to get a decent position.

I haven't tried it myself, but I've looked into it. If you can get quality clicks for under $1, I'd say go for it.

I wouldn't go for something like Adwords itself. Places such as BHW are perfect for quality article writing services, whilst I've never tried it all you need is Jnr VIP + a $20-30 investment for the thread and you are almost guaranteed to make that back if you can provide the quality people are looking for.

I've tried it - totally flop idea. No response, and got 10 Fake responses. After taking works - they disappeared. Totally " Horrible "...

Yes, there are too many scam sites out there for beginners. I've found more than one which give your "projects" and when you are a few cents from their payout limit they suddenly have no more work available.

Ok, I will not be using this. Have realized that it is better to promote it on forums only.

Go all out on all the forums....

Build up your brand on all forums and you will have more than enough on your plate....

Don't pay Google to promote your biz. You don't have to do that. Just write to websites in a niche and you will have all of the article writing biz you can handle. Have a good resume or make one up.

(acne is only a sample niche. Use your own niche)

Yes, you can use scrapebox or email hunter to get emails, but do it manually at first

Just by creating an account to any online article marketing platforms and post your articles with the links to the platforms.

Promoting it on forums is your best bet, without a doubt. You'll spend a lot less to get attention and you'll get orders from people who know how the business works. You'll be able to make contacts on here and on other forums, and when you prove yourself you will get repeat business from reliable clients who will pay and may recommend you to their own clients.

You didn't ask for upfront payment? Always ask for pay first before you start working on the articles. Will prevent you from getting scammed. I learned that the hard way!

you can promote your work via classified ads, facebook groups, forums .

Place an AD on right spots like BHW if you have Some Budget.
Try an email marketing campaign as it is less costly with higher ROI.
Create a blog on start posting articles on importance of Content.
Add techniques to optimize the content in your blog.
Facebook page + Twitter is another option to promote your services
Use original images to publish at different places to bring in more traffic. 3D images are great in giving results but expensive to get
Be active on Forums.

As others have suggested before me, you'll be better off advertising your services on forums. If you do quality work, you will also get repeat work (not to mention that you'll also build trust and a good reputation).

It's a good idea to promote the service in different IM forums. You can also offer free articles to the renowned members in the beginning.

This idea sucks especially if you're a BST seller. There are far better ideas to promote services such as signatures, banners etc, but definitely not by offering freebies.
