Hey. While I don't have idea how to get SE traffic on my new website about diseases, I'm also going to try to work with affiliate program Amazon and sell some products. I am already reading some articles on the Internet about how to choose product to sell, but my main question is how to promote the product of affiliate program? I think I will make landing page, create Facebook group. In Facebook I will post some images of the product with link to my landing / or directly to Amazon. But how do the people find our about my Facebook group? Are there some other ways to get traffic on my landing guys?

add all your friends from your original fb page to your group, or invite them rather. When you find time create a fake page. then add add your friends, then all your friends friends to that page. Once you get enough friends invite them to your group too. Somebody going to hit the link and somebody is going to buy!

What makes you pick amazon? Usually you can find better deals and products to promote by going to individual merchants. You have to throw a tonne of warm traffic at Amazon to get any money as they don't have a cookie and give you such a small % of the sale.

How you promote it depends on your product. From the sounds of it you're promoting supplements that help particular diseases/ailments? I'd suggest this is better promoted by a well put together blog post. Check out the related long tail keywords to find good pages to create.

I'm not a fan of salesy landing pages.

My first rule of sales... People love to buy, but hate to be sold to.

FYI facebook traffic converts horribly. People are on fb to get their validation fix, not buy. In most cases (I know there's some social media guru's who will say otherwise) Facebook is a lot of effort for little reward.

OP listen to DanDanger as this is good advice. Facebook most people use it to look at funny photo's and talk about themselves. Reach on Facebook is awful and it can be time consuming without any reward. I have recently given up on a Facebook page with over 6,000 members as it was just taking way too much of my time so i closed it.

Thanks for your tip. I've changed my mind about promotion in Facebook. So may be you could give me some tips where to promote beside Facebook?
No, i still not decided what product to promote. Yes I have website about disease, but it's not related to promotion products from affiliate program. And about Amazon, thanks, I will check another affiliate program. I have account in Clickbank, listened good feedback about this program.

Hey, do you also promote some products from affiliate program?

I would recommend that stay away from FB ads. It's waste of money.

Two main reasons:
1- FB conv. rate is low as DanDanger has pointed out.
2- You MAY succeed to getting page likes (like me, in one of my projects - while others unsuccessful). But after stopping ads, your posts will be delivered only a small percentage of your so-called "followers". In my case, only 10% of followers can see my posts on average, and believe me, even this number is high above the standards (I know many person who can reach only 1-2% of their followers).

Thanks, I really won't use Facebook. So may be you could suggest me something else?

I think the organic reach is golden, and it always will be. Try to rank better, you can go for long tail keywords, they convert better.
In January or February, I'll try twitter ads with a small budget, for a trial. I'll update here with the results.

Fyi, I got 14K+ likes on FB for around $3500.

I do a lot from iTinues, Amazon and Ebay to obscure products from little known companies. Do some research and find things that best suit your niche, sometimes small companies with hard to find products can go down better than big mainstream companies.
