Hello

I am starting a massive deals/coupons affiliate site which gets them from different sources. It probably never going to rank on search engines, so are there other alternative methods (paid or not) which can be used to promote such a site and make it known by people? is there a chance for it to ever rank?

Thank you

Post relevant comments in different answer-threads (Yahoo or Quora), it can increase your referal traffic, and give you target audience.

social media and blog commenting on established websites

Yeah, social media would be a good place to start. You can also do a bunch of forum promoting.

I agree. It's a good method. I can recommend service brandcitations.com for outsource this.

But it's only a part of seo. You must work on page optimization and content marketing, but it's not easy. So I suggest you to start from answers in relevance threads.

Social Media things like, FB like jacking, send newly published post to Stumbleupon using Nextscripts social plugin and Pinterest auto posting. SEO should be last on your mind with a thin site..

I agree with their answers.

You should start with email marketing and collect your prospect list

forums, Social Media advertisement, Q & A sites can be good alternative to get referral traffic if you can't promote your site in search engines.

1.Group posting in FB (related to your niche/coupon)
2. SEO
3. Forum posting, blog commenting, yahoo answers..

social share, advertise and buy some seo service. Always be updated with your affiliate site.

The best way is to make your affiliate a content based site too - make it a real website rather than a so-called "thin affiliate" website. You've got little to no chance with getting lots of traffic to one of these sites these days.

Add unique text. 2-300 words is good
Add original images you could take with your mobile.
Dont use other peoples images. Theywill do you no good as you are not the originator

Advertising is a best way to promote your website. You can use social media like YouTube,Facebook...and forum posting and blog commenting will also help you to increase your referal traffic.

Any site can rank on a search engine, it just depends on how much work you're willing to put into it. 1) Advertise; look for any site that is in a similar area of business for you to find retail space. 2) Content; search engines look for sites based off of how much content they have that is related to what the site is for. If you fill your site to the brim with helpful information and small articles, Google will do it's job eventually and find you. 3) Viral marketing; find sites like this. Connect with people, spread the word, look for people in similar fields as you. And no, I don't mean going on random forums making trash accounts filled with posts titled "COUPONS!!!11122!!!$$$". Facebook, twitter, pinterest, linkedin are all sites that allow for this kind of connection. People are crazy for deals and coupons. It could be more successful than you think. Again: it will take work.
