How to prevent from Paypal's temporary holds on payments

lately I have received two payments of same amount of $220 and today morning I got two mails from paypal saying:-

To protect you from problematic transactions, we sometimes request
additional information about PayPal payments.

We need more information about this transaction. Please log in to your
PayPal account, click the "Resolution Centre" tab, and provide more
information by xx/xx/xxxx.

We recommend that you do not post the item until our investigation is
complete. If you've already posted the item, please log in and let us know
where you posted it.

We have placed a temporary hold on the funds until we complete our
investigation.

Why the fuck they hold funds?? and is there any method so I can prevent them to hold my funds in future? I think this shit is automated and once I get payments from Credit Cards I get such problems.. both of these payment senders were not registered paypal users so I guess they sent funds thru Card. It is pretty annoying.. Now I have to respond to case and then buyer ll also have to respond.. then they ll investigate and till then my money is in air..

Is there any method that I can get my funds quickly?? I'm not selling physical goods instead I'm selling digital products/ non intangible goods/ services.

Please suggest me something helpful.

Get the person to send you funds as gifts next time around. That should go through directly without prompts or debates.
 
Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you can use the money right away if you have the Paypal Debit Card. But you need to have a credit card account to get it. I have personally never used the card, but I believe I am correct in my assumption.

lol man we Indians no more can accept Gifts or Personal payments from paypal anymore and neither we can send.
 
I have found that using a real paypal account is better than using one that you might have bought.

Second I have always set my paypal account up as a business account. Submitted all paper work, EIN and so on.

Then I contact them and tell them what sites I will be selling from and the prices. So each site I add an email address from that site.

with contacting them and letting them know what sites and the amounts Has worked for me. Before I started doing this i would get a hold all the time and have to turn stuff in and wait.

If you are looking for another service you can look at 2checkout or just go and set up a real merchant account

Well I'm not a US resident but yeah I have a Credit Card account. Don't know if it is possible.. but could you please suggest a simpler way to prevent them to again holding funds or how can I quickly get funds released to my account..

I know if I call them it ll be quicker..

Nope if they put a hold on the account you are not able to do anything with the funds. until you submit the info they need that shows you sent the item.

The only way to do it with the card is if you know the time that they are sending it and you withdrew the money right then. If not with in about 5 min they will put the hold on the account.

Thanks billsboardonline. I wasn't quite sure how that worked since I have never used it. I have always gone through the normal 3-4 day waiting period after transferring the funds to my bank account.

well dude of-course it is my REAL paypal account which I'm using. I have also submitted additional proofs like PAN card (They asked it from Indian Paypal holders)

Yes I can provide them the website where I sell items but I'm a bit afraid if they ll ban me as I'm selling black hat stuff.. IMO

Do you think they care what is legal or illegal?
 
in that case i would not give them the site. as you run the risk of them shutting the account down on you. you can never tell with paypal. I have seen some messed up stuff over the years. I don't use them as much anymore.

Back in the day I was a powerseller on Ebay selling hunting scopes and other hunting gear. I was doing around 80k a day. now when Paypal puts a hold on that type of money its a big pain. You have to give them all tracking numbers and wait til the item shows the customer signed for it. I ended up shipping everything next day air to try and cut the hold time down. Since I only keep about 3 days worth of items on hand at any time.

would not go with 2checkout then as well. I would look into setting up a real merchant account. No hold on accounts get funds in two days. only worrie then would be if they did a charge back but thats a different story.

what abt plimus.com? I saw many guys are using this site and I doubt that paypal already knows abt my site bcz I have buy now buttons of paypal directly redirecting to my selling item.

What do u think?
 
Update:-

Both of my vendors are not replying.. don't know what is wrong. The similar thing is when I see the details of the payment paypal shows:-

"The sender of this payment is Unregistered"

So do you guys thing they scammed me? will I get my money back or not? Right now the case is reviewed by paypal and I have talked to paypal support and they said that it ll take up to 30 days to investigate the whole issue.

I'm pretty much pissed as both of these looks same to me and even they are promoting same **************************** links on youtube. I ll publish there details after 48 hours here.
 
@Dheer: My account has been limited 4 times in past 3 years, some times it's paypal's regular operation and some time they see something fishy in transactions.
When ever talking to paypal, use 'intangible item' or 'virtual item' as many time as you can, don't use 'services' any where else, they'll refund the buyer and then proceed further.

If your account has been limited before then chances are they can hold your funds for 180 days (that's how mine ended :-( ) and then release them later on.

Keep us posted of progress.

@carsonrathi No mine account didn't get limited ever. However I have refunded some payments within past two weeks so may be that's the reason.

I have selected "services" to reply to that dispute at paypal. :(

Lets see how it goes. I ll update you.
 
PayPal are ASSHOLES! Each person you talk to says something completely different and opposite from the last and they lack the ability to reason like a normal human being. It's like they breed super retards right there in the corporate office.

And ya...they've got no problem holding your money for anywhere from 1 month to 6 months. Their attitude is, "You need your money real bad? You don't have enough money to pay the rent or feed your kids? Oh well - You're SOL."

Can't stand them. Absolutely worthless.

There are a bunch of state legislator's working to bring them down. Until then, I hope you enjoy your roller coaster!
 
yea, those dumbasses don't know what they do, they're unpredictable, there aren't any consistency what they do and most of the people who works for them are dumb as hell and they don't even know how an official document should look like...

Is this for real? Because it won't be good, we can't live without paypal but we can't live with them either.

My latest story with them: i used to sell ebooks through e-junkie, and every time a customer bought the product, i get a 2-3 page long email log from e-junkie with the buyer's email, IP address and so on and many of the buyer report unauthorized transaction to paypal (it's a fireproof tactic) because you can't really prove that it wasn't unauthorized, they want your product for free
i used to attach a schreenshot of this e-junkie email to the dispute and guess what, payment almost automatically will be reversed all the time, but paypal shouldn't have to do much, just check the fuckin IP log of the buyers paypal account and check if the IP is different from what's in the email or it's the same, but i think they don't bother to do that...

I no longer want to use paypal, making the transition one by one..For buying things online I use my CC and payoneer,use Google checkout for my online stores

for buying things they're ok i think, but if you want to sell something, paypal is a pain in the ass
 
Doesn't matters we like paypal or not. It's a need, a MUST need for online business.

I am going to launch a software in Delhi, by offline marketing and ask me how it's difficult yo get approval of other payment processor for local currency, like ccavenue.

Dheer: If it's first time limited them i feel it will be up and running shortly once you complete there formalities.
