How to place vertical banner with ad outside a theme

Hi guys,

i wonder how we could place two vertical boxes outside the main theme (i have a wordpress installation).
These boxes could hold adsense code and display ads like for example at www.contra.gr ή or www.in.gr

Do you have an idea on how we can do this?

Have you tried a text widget on the sidebar?

need to be outside a theme (in essence to wrap the whole theme) and not to be in the sidebar.. so text widget will not to the trick

i see it in a great amount of sites and wonder how they do it

are you sure its outside the theme .... can't imagine how this can be done.
you can make to theme look like the boundaries are different and so you just imagine its outside ...

have you seen a theme (wordpress) which places ads with this logic? if yes could you please name one?
