How to parse data on Excel?

How to parse data on Excel?
So I have an Excel sheet, I need to parse data between something in the columns..

Basically, its like [madeupwebsite].com/linktosomewhere/{help}/33ksdjjd/somethingelse

If I have a bunch of stuff like that, how can I parse the thing in pink?

Do you know how to do PHP? If you do, you can open up file, read every line of it using explode or list, then again, use explode of that line of yours and get your "pink" part of URL...

Let me know if you need help I might be able to make this latter tonight for you in PHP as I will have some free time...

Is it possible to do this in Excel? I have an .xls sheet with a list of these things. All I want to do is have a tab with just the pink part.

I just need an explanation how its done.

Oh sorry I can't do that in Excel...

if your pink link is after three of "/" then you can use Find function in Excel but if it different in each link then it will take longer to do using MID, LEFT, FIND etc functions.

Other way to do is use Data>>>Text to Column>>>> which is make be more quick.

Highlight the whole column, choose Data from Tool Bar, then click Text to Column, then check Delimited, press next next to box Other put "/" and then Finish. You should have three or four columns and one of them should have Pink Part
