I need to outsource my seo.

I am going to elance and odesk, etc. to hire someone.

do you hire someone and tell them "seo my site. bye"
or do you hire someone and tell them exactly what to do? (like go to this site, copy the article, go to best spinner, press spin, go to blogger.com...)

It seems to me the first one saves a lot of time because you dont have to train them, but probably won't get good results because most people on these sites will just spam using SB.
The second option will take a long time. I hate training people and doing it myself will probably take LESS time than training them.

so it seems like you can't really outsource seo and save a bunch of time and money?

Dude, for someone with your user-name you have certainly started some strange threads.
The questions you have been asking makes me think you are not cut out for this business.
Or are you just trolling ?

Maybe he has a lot of clients that's why he needs someone to help him.

Be careful with saying "seo my site. bye". From a site owner's perspective Seo is a long term strategy where the goal is to increase rankings with the least risk of losing them. From a vendor or freelancer's perspective, Seo is a short term strategy where the goal is to increase rankings by any means. Many website owners who outsources their Seo to vendors got knocked out of the SERPs when Penguin got rolled out.

Seo should never be outsourced. Only Seo tasks should be outsourced. You should always know the exact tasks are being done. You can get these time consuming tasks done by virtual assistants. Infact it is highly recommended to outsource your labor intensive tasks so that your time is kept free for high level strategy.

When I saw your username I thought you're a SEO guru. Now I'm disappointed.

depends upon what you want.
if you are a n00b then tell him "do seo for my site"

if you know what are you doing then ask "i need pr9 web2.0's with 60%unique/100%unique content, 5k words per web2.0"

if you are a expert then "i have my team to do it"

i do seo work , but most clients ask me to rank site on #1 .
some ask me to do seo with some blue print.

I have used the guys at SEOClerks
Most of them are experienced and you can find packages where you would just tell them "seo my site. bye" and the work would be done.

SEOClerks can be even worse than Fiverr. On both platforms there are few competent people but it is very hit and miss.

These days I prefer to do things myself or use the BHW Marketplace.

I am going to elance and odesk, etc.
And you get something like:
"hello i can rank your site for $100 monthly, any niche. Im expert i can rank any therm"
XXXXX times.

There are 3 ways:
1- Do seo yourself.
2 - Teach someone how to rank site, and after few months he will tell you goodbye - you lost XXX hours of your time.
3 - Buy services from BHW marketplace- it will work but it costs.

Mods, lock this down.
I'm one person and I'm doing this as fast as I can.

Anyway, all of that guy's 200+ bot accounts (along with the member responsible) should be banned now. Just report the posts when you see them and I'll take care of the rest.
