How To Optimize Your Articles For SEO
Most of you know what you are doing already, I recently just got involved in this and everyone should be doing this so i wanted to post it.
Please add anything that is valuable and I'll quote you as long as I can edit this.
First, or after you've written your article, you need to find the best keywords for the title. The most looked up keywords people are searching for in your niche. If people aren't searching for what you're writing about, they aren't gonna see your blog in search engines, that's it you're done with blogging. Unless you already have an established blog with many visitors and pagerank.
I am not experienced or an expert at blogging, my blogs are new but I've read articles on SEO and watched alot of youtubes. This is what they say to rank.
So you're going to write an article. I only use https://adwords.google.com/KeywordPlanner. It's google, it's the biggest search engine on the internet, and you're going to get the best keywords anyway, and they know because it's their search engine.
Go to the site and log in or sign up. On the first page open the search. Enter your keywords or a phrase in your niche, the title you want to use, your website, or a category from the dropdown. Then hit Get Ideas on the bottom.
I have a pregnancy blog and will use that for an example, Signs Of Pregnancy
Go to Keyword Ideas not Adwords. Right away I can see for Signs Of Pregnancy there's 301,000 hits a month. It's a big number, I found my keyword.
I don't have a Signs Of Pregnancy article on my blog yet so I'll use this article for an example. It's a Self Improvement blog, My title is going to be How Self Improvement Can Help You To A Healthy Lifestyle. Two good keywords I used, Self Improvement and Healthy Lifestyle
It's good to have pictures people like seeing them and they make the whole article look better, I use just one. If you use Wordpress just go to Set featured image and upload a pic and it will put on the top left of the post.
Put the title of the article in bold and italic on top, It's a nice appearance.
This is important, Google likes this, internal links and bold, italic, and underline for your keywords twice in the article, somewhere near the top and bottom. And link to two of your other articles that relate to this one. Or link to some other article on the internet, that's fine Google likes that too. You're on your way to good SEO just keep posting and optimizing and hopefully your site will rank someday. Don't expect it right away, it may take a long time for your blog to get anywhere.
