I did try group events and tagging everyone. No its not worth to pay $60 for any group because you don't really know the quality of the members. You could however request a test post or test event if you really want to buy them just to make sure and just use a tracking link and see the engagement for yourself. But its really easy to get members on a facebook, make a local group for some classified ads or for vintage furniture or something...
