Whats up guys. So I have never done anything outside of flyers that I make with my buddy for different DJ gigs. How can I monetize this? Is this good enough quality to charge for work? I don't know anything about doing banners or anything other than flyers, but I am guessing I can teach myself, since this is all self taught...anyway, what do you guys think?

if you can do flyers, im sure you can learn to do just about anything eles.
and yes it is very easy to make money off of those skillz.
you can find ppl who need a designer and jv with them to be there perm design guy.
also you can sign up to freelance sites and sites like ffiver and do work for ppl.

or you can even make yourself a site for a cpa offer or product, w/e.
then make up some cool flyers and paqss them out at events and place them in places that will get lots of foot traffic and wait for the ppl to come and fill your offer. this works well if you set up a incent offer and offer your leads a prize/incent w/e

    good luck mate.
keep up the work you'll make it.

Thanks man. Definitely not doing fiverr, no interest in offering my work for slave labor :p This is truly just a hobby, I am not someone that has a "need " to make it in I.M. I actually have a true desire to though!

    Hi mate,

Just found this amazing forum a few days ago and felt compelled to post :)
Don't diss Fiverr to quickly without understanding how you can really "work it" to your advangtage.

    I've done a few gigs on there in areas including PS for the fiverr......but;

    1) Deliver good work and you can get a real testimonial you can use on your site for your services to people outside fiverr

    2) Think outside the box dude! - You do an easy gig for $5. Then you can offer your customer services on top of what you provided.

e.g - I do a lot of techie stuff that most cant either be arsed to do or be bothered to learn.

I did a gig for an IM newbie. Who in turn needed hosting, autoresponder setup, blog setup etc etc.

From that $5 gig, I made around $400 cash and recurring commish for HG and Aweber...

Get your neurons into gear and you'll be sorted!

I am also a designer and know how to code websites / more technical stuff. My work is also quality not to be cocky but maybe a bit over your designs shown, use this skill to create websites in a hot trend with good keywords use SEO and monetize your website to bring home the loot.

If you need fast cash then freelance check out 99*designs.com.

Id make video tutorials and set up a membership site and make sure it is the tiny details in the videos that attract people, aka better quality than the ones you see on youtube etc.

#You can make money of their yearly or monthly payment.
    #Sell add space
#Build a mailing list for any similar product or service to which you can market to later.

Its really easy to set up using wordpress, all the plugins are available to set up a site like that in no time...

I liked your flyers. Have your tried some of the freelance sites like elance. Or selling custom art on istock or something.

Start a thread in BST on BHW.

That should get you some instant work (if you're good and have reasonable prices.)

Ya, you can try gigbux as it pays more than fiverr
Also, offer free reviews of your services to people on DP and after you get a good amount of itraders and testimonials, let them do the trick for your services website

...a friend of mine opened up a Shop in a bigger City nearby - only selling Flyers. He is running a Website for Design-Stuff as well so he could fund the opening of the shop - but his Shop did run pretty good after some weeks and 3 years later still does.
He spoke to all the Club-Owners there, DJ`s he knew...everything he could grab that had to do with Parties, but other Shops too that do promo-stuff
through flyers every now and then etc. and after some time jobs came rolling in. Most times he could beat the prices because most of them overpaid some "Design-Heros" to do it and he could compete easy.

Theres tons of ways - just have a look around how many, and different shops need Flyers for something.
