I dont think they would be interested in smalliphone... Maybe oyu should cs on smalliphone. I would keep up the PR of 9. No telling when google is going to change it's rankings... although IMHO i dont think PR matters as much anymore... Try and get something good up. Forget ebay, forget csing... the domain is worth 50k right now. What you want to do is show it's worth more. So some ways to monetize would be to just create a iPhone Nano review site for now. Think of it like the premier rumors, and reviews site.
Trust me if your not making money now, and it is true as you say that apple has 'confirmed' the iphone nano. Then you'll be banking in a few months time.
Unique content + seo friendly url like yours + some TLC = lots and lots of money in the future
and this is in more than one ways... i would vouch that if the site does come out you'll be able to sell it for 50g+... as far as Apple wanting to buy it... they only buy the TLD of their product line so iphone is already done... i dont think they would give much thought into purchasing iphonenano.com
