How to Monetize Chat Roulette

So does anybody have any ideas how to do it, feel free to post here :) Seriously, i was thinking we could discuss "how-to monetize it" options on chat roulette here.

I'm sure you already know you can spoof webcams. So throw up a video of a camgirl. Maybe write a script that automatically posts a link, then presses next.
 
Okay, well, your target market is obviously guys aged probably 20-30 so some kind of dating offer would be best.

As the guy above suggested, download Many Cam and then download a YouTube video of some good looking girl on webcam.

Edit the video so after a minute or so it pops up with an affiliate link to some dating offer and then set it up to loop and get something installed that can just press "next person" every 2-3 minutes or so.

I haven't actually done this before but I think it'd definitely work pretty well.
 
i think omegle didn't have the video chat before, it was just text chat with strangers. But yeah it's an twisted old idea
 
is there ANY way to turn of the videos appearing of other people. I hate dicks flying in my face. Please tell me how i can do that. even when i click on disable video it still shows

also about dating offers, which kind of dating offers? or are you talking about offers from adult sites? i have access to normal offers like singles.net and stuff like that. will they work?

I tried with iMacros - didn't really work. The real challenge is to find out when to send what message. The textarea is disabled as long as you're not connected, so you have to check the state of the textarea before sending a message. Also, there is no submit button on the form, it submits 'OnPressEnter' - and I had a hard time finding support for that in iMacros..

I might try later tonight with vb.net - I am thinking that the build-in webbrowser might be good for the task.
 
Don't really have a whole lot of extra time to run with this, but instead of going with the obvious "dudes jerking off" market. What about targeting the 18-25 crowd that likes to get on Chat Roulette (especially on the weekends). Its usually several friends standing around the webcam looking to see something crazy. Tease them with something intriguing then lead them to your offer. These people are expecting to be entertained and will quickly grow tired of the same old same old. They will follow if you tease with pretty much any kind of novelty.

it is not possible to monetize cr cause contact lasts only several seconds
and no one interested what are you pushing

it doesnt work, you need to write captchas after some messages, nice try, unless you make the bot write captchas its useless.

Did you actually try this one? ;) Ain't getting any captchas here.
 
Thats very interesting, I've sent out about 200 messages at the same time from the same IP at different times and haven't ever seen a captcha. Worth investigating though, thank you for the information.
 
You can sell pocket pussies to all the fugly guys you are going to come across.
 
I tried to see how ppl would react to changes so I put up some animated gifs. Nobody was interested.
Then I put up some short movies from vimeo about paragliding and pointed my webcam to the screen and ppl started staying more.
Then I downloaded some horror pics and put up a nice blue animated sky. When someone stayed longer the horror pic jumped right in their face lol.
Then I would just type 'gotcha!' :)
I got some pretty nice reactions.

actually .. u can make some fun /pranks and other stuff with people on chatroulette . be creative .. and record it ...

manycam is a nice tool ... alot of options .. and u dont need a real webcam..

then throw it up on youtube and get many views .. monetize the youtube vid.. chatroulette vids are hot on YT now..
 
i hadnt pay attention to chatroulette until i saw it on southpark fucker got free huge publicity
 
My thought would be to migrate them to something more long term. Get their email address, skype, yahoo, etc, or give them yours. That way you can build that relationship over a longer period of time finally getting them to convert on your dating offer, etc. Trying to make money on them just from the short experience on chat rolutette is extremely difficult to do. That's like trying to sell a car to someone you just meet on the street. It ain't happening! Please thank me if you appreciate my response. Also, I have several hot girls that work for me. Wish someone would make a nice Omegle or Chatroulette script! Might be interesting to try on a few of my sites...
