Hello everyone. So finally I got a subreddit. I can post everything I want as I am the only one mod. I can also pin whatever I want. It's a general subreddit with an high engagement and an average of 200 members online everytime I visit it.
Yes subreddits aren't meant to be monetized but...we are here to make money so, how can I monetize this subreddit? Hope finding some original ideas from the community

Run giveaway for something free related to subreddit that they will really want. Sign up with getresponse.com, they have free lander pages to collect emails or you can design your own (the more basic the better), and have them enter with emails, build email list and use that to sell them more affiliate products related to subreddit.

indeed
It's a general helping niche
you might want to read some old article in this forum, it might help ( idk anything abt this niche btw)

Maybe offer them a free ebook and collect their emails to build a mailing list that you can use to promote affiliate products.

You could add a promotional post once in about 20 posts. It has to be subtle enough, and not too direct. Make it sounds like a story.

Product can be a general one targeted to the masses, like a VPN service that protects your privacy online, or, it can be something related to the niche.

Oh nice idea. I guess I should pin it right? I will definitely try this method

Subreddits aren't to be monetized?

What's its main strength then? To generate traffic?

The get response funnel sounds like a good plan to me

place ad banners? mega affiliate link list.
sell pinned posts.

Yes, monetizing it is against their TOS lol. I was as surprised as you when I learned it
I suppose then through posts you can generate traffic to LPs or wherever you want traffic to, since as mod you can post links etc as yourself, as others etc. I suppose that's the value sans direct monetization?

generate trafic , you cant really monetize a sub

There are several ways to monetize on Reddit: Advertising: Reddit offers various
advertising options, such as promoted posts, display ads, and sponsored
content. Affiliate marketing: You can share affiliate links to products and services
you recommend on subreddits related to your niche.

Hmmm ... What are display ads and sponsored content? May I have more details about it please?

Subreddits are meant to be monetized.

For start you need to add more than 1 moderator account. If your main gets suspended, and it could get suspended for no good reason, your subreddit will get banned for being unmoderated within hours. If the suspension was done by mistake, you'll appeal it and get both back, but it will take a week or 2 and a lot of nervousness.
