How to monetize a Question and Answer (Q&A) site?

I have a decent niche for community of people that have questions that need to be answered.

So I'm interested in building a QnA site with user generated content but need help monetizing it.

something like this will be developed using WP


Any ideas on how to monetize it without loading annoying cpa / ppc ads on it?

white or black hat?

What I will recommend you is still advertisement but in another form. Check out Infolinks. Infolinks grabs some keywords in your websites and adds a link to them. This way, when people click that word/link, they are redirected to the advertisement page and you're paid a commission.

ok thanks NickJonathan!. that seem like a good idea. Seems like it makes the website still look clean and not bombarded with ads.


i am also thinking about looking at the popular topics and most frequented questions on the Q&A site and developing content such as ebooks and courses that can used with email marketing.

You can also create a mass of fake Q/A originating from fake accounts to attract some attention. People may be using Q/A to find answers for something viral (e.g. celebrities stuff). Just a suggestion worth to take a look.
