How to monetize a meme blog?

Hey,

What would be the best way to monetize a general meme/funny pictures blog?

I know using adsense might be a bit iffy because they don't like images with minimal text.

I found a way to get craazy traffic, like 100k views in a couple of hours from posting a meme. I was thinking of putting a small watermark on the bottom of image to send people to my website.

Anyone had experience with monetizing? I mainly want to go for ads/banner rather than Amazon/affiliate because it's such a general niche. Good to hear peoples thoughts.

I would not advise adsense oull get paid peanuts from them, rather go for a video ad network or a display ad network
