If the people download app from your site, you can set up push notifications as the simplest way to monetize. For example

You could earn from push notifications, make link banners on forums, display ads that would show up across the internet, and so on.

Install an additional extension on chrome, have your own search engine, manipulate search results (show ads). Milk $$$ from your users day by day.
Make the software unavailable if they uninstall the extension.

not much coming around from this. expect far under 50$/month from 1000 users with 2-4 cpu cores (only 50% to not slow them down too much)
also, your users will hate you.
1. you're slowing them down
2. their pc will become very loud
3. they get Antivirus notices
miners make a normal PCs very unresponsive, even if you "only" use 50% cpu capacity
