Hi BHW Members,

This is my first post on BHW, and I was hoping to get some advice. I just recently got aquainted with IM, SEM, & SEO. I don't know a lot, so it has been difficult to determine where to start. I'm a very recent graduate, and Financial Analyst at Microsoft, so my strengths don't help too much with IM.

I purchased a Foreclosure domain off of Godaddy, but I'm not sure how to monetize it. I thought of the obvious ones, such as adding AdSense, but didn't get much further. Does anyone here have any ideas on where to start?

Thanks,
Dino

That's a good start. There's a lot of abbreviations, that I haven't gotten accustomed to.

He is saying that having a domain does not mean you have a website. What were your plans when you purchased the domain? Did you not have something planned out before you bought it?

Hey, a Microsoftie! Welcome aboard, Dino.

Why don't you have a look at the journeys section, you should get plenty of ideas there.

Hi elschlongo,

I found a thread here here about directing Traffic towards a foreclosure website, with several ads, which hopefully would be clicked on. I saw a lot of posters talking about Adsense not approving sites such as this did to where the traffic comes from (classifieds...).

Now I have the site and hosting, and I'm not sure how to go about monetizing it. I'm willing to learn, and spend time working on it, I just need some direction.

Thanks for the welcome!

Ill go ahead and spend some time browsing that section. Thanks for the tip.

-IF- your domain has value you're always best to flip it instead of taking on a new niche...

Add lot of good content and drive a lot of quality traffic. You'll make good money if the traffic is reasonable.

Put together a solid website with good info on foreclosures and give them the option of putting in their info and being added to your EMAIL LIST. Send them more info with informational pdfs and make sure they opt in to your email list with a confirmation link. Build up your list and visitors by getting more and more traffic thru SEO and social networks. These are people who are looking for help to get out of a dire situation. The information you collect will be very valuable to a foreclosure company. When you get your traffic up and get more and more people requesting for help, disclose to these people that you will sell this info to a 3rd party and that by opting in they are giving you permission to do so. Then sell your leads to foreclosure companies.

-I was a foreclosure and mortgage broker for about 6 years and used to buy these leads all the time. I got burnt out on it after a while, but I used to pay about $25 a lead and make about 8-10k per closed deal. The more and more you filter your leads, the more they will be worth. Heavy hitters I used to work with could afford to pay a lot more for really really good leads but that's why they drove cars that were a lot nicer than mine :)

Copy paste another foreclosure website and put adsense on it. Next register a .info domain and make a bogus wordpress site and install cparedirector plugin to cloak. Now go on Craigslist and post pictures of a house for sale and put your .info domain in there. People will click it and it will redirect them to your customized url made by cparedirector and they'll click on the ads and you'll earn some money.

I'm interested in some leads if you are open to working something out?
