How to monetize a drug website?

So me and my buddy are thinking about starting up a drug website, focused on marijuana. New state laws here that deal with medical marijuana have shut down his business so he wants to take hes knowledge online. Hes got the information and I got the skills to make it happen so were teaming up.

Anyways Im not quite sure how to monetize it, I know we cant use Adsense so thats out the door. I was thinking of linking to amazon products related to the marijuana industry (books, growing equipment, etc") Also does anyone know if theres anything on commission junction related to this (i still need to browse through their site.) Also I was looking through High Times magazine and I see there and tons of ads in there, would it work to go to their website and just send them an e-mail saying "hey saw your ad in a magazine, would you be interested in advertising on our site"

I found a TON of great keywords thet are related so I know the traffic is there, I just dont know if the money is. What do you guys think?

Thanks! I just looked at GC and there have some nice stuff and 10% commission is pretty sure. I think monetizing with a site like that will earn waaaaay more than amazon.

Its super simple... its the DEA you need to watch for.

Anyway you could be a legalbuds.com affiliate.

Try to drive traffic to it first. Not talking about 1000 UV/day. Try get 100,000 UV/day and you will soon have people lining up wanting to advertise with you.
