I operate a very large WH twitter account which is a battle in itself to monetize (although I am doing well) but I stumbled into something interesting: I can send 40k views to a vaguely titled picture in just 20 minutes. Add the word "tits" in there and more views arrive. I learned this from RT'ing funny or sexy shots.

    50k views in 30 minutes.

    Seems powerful.

What can I do with this?

Geotargeted CPA ads for free email / zip submits above and below the pic.

Get them to sign up for your own email list and blast them with CPA offers every day.

You could also try a content locker, although this will probably cause a few unfollows.

I would have to create my own pic service then, huh? Or is there another solution?

Just set up your own domain with a super basic template. I'd advise using static html rather than a CMS like Worpress because if you're sending 50K hits in a few mins then that creates bursts of heavy server load. Static html should be OK for a cheap virtual hosting account whilst Wordpress would struggle. If you're sending 50K hits I'd expect you should be able to tweak things until you're making at least a few bucks per blast.

Set up a very simple gallery system so that after people click through to your pic, you can show them a small row of thumbs underneath the pic leading to different pic pages on your site. You want to keep them clicking around on your own site and showing them different CPA ads until they see an offer they like and click on it. You want to maximize your page views by keeping people on your site for as long as you can.

In fact, this is an awesome idea, I'm going to steal it. :D

That is a lot of work just to make a few bucks for each photo tweet. I think it would be smarter to develop a photo storage service for everyone to use and with my huge social power, promote it as a twitgoo rival.

Your suggestion is clear and well-thought out. Thank you.

I'd have to disagree that it's a lot of work actually. It's less than a one hour job in PHP that could pay off handsomely. One of the main problems with Twitter is that tweeples' attention is fleeting and you only get one shot at the conversion. Exponentially increasing page views by keeping them banging around amongst your own stuff could and should multiply profits. This is a bread and butter technique used in adult thumbnail posts (porn webmasters wrote the book on making money with pictures).

Making a photo storage site is a good idea too, but it's much much more ambitious and riddled with headaches. You still have to monetize somehow, but you're going to be dealing with much more traffic and bandwidth - apart from your own 50k a day, you could quickly scale to millions and millions of page views and you go from needing a $10 a month virtual account to one or more dedicated servers. Having upload capability means you expose yourself to a whole plethora of potential security issues. You also have the job of constantly policing your content for illegal porn etc. which is most definitely a big deal that could get you in serious trouble.

yea i would take Autumn's advice not just cause of those tits, set up a simple HTML page with the pic in the middle and CPA ofers on top and bottom. i highly doubt you will make under $40 doing this so definitely the preferred method. Also, you know about sponsored tweets and mylikes i'd assume right?

    Have some more traffic!
    Code:
    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2011/03/110307130215.htm?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+sciencedaily+(ScienceDaily:+Latest+Science+News)&utm_content=Google+Reader
In all honesty though, look at imgur.com and wimp.com and the ads they run. Wimp is especially basic, 2 ads and a facebook like button. You could easily host the images yourself.

I have close to a million followers right now so I make a good coin.

Illegal content on picture uploading service is an issue. I know that twitpic somehow scans content for tits and deletes them. So, there is an automated solution.

I am going to try picq as the pic I RT has over 80k views in 2hrs without using the word tits! hahaha

hahaha I have actually used an image of that bird species to test clicks ;)

imgur is a poor name but layout is OK though white would be better. Wimp.com has a great name that is underutilized and moreover, their template sucks!

Ya, I could host the images myself but I already spend my whole managing my twitter accounts. Do I really want to take on more work? I'll try picq dot us first.

Picq is owned by someone here i can't remember his name though. Search for his thread and you can contact him i think he offers faster payouts for BHW members.

Here i dug up the thread. It appears that the owner has sold the site. Tread carefully.

    buy a domain.
    example:
    bigtitsandstuffblahblah.com
and then sign up for datinggold or a dating affiliate site.
put a redirect on that domain you bought to your affiliate link
then water mark the picture you send the traffic to, and get sales,

    another idea,
same method, but start a tube site, and do the watermark, and you will get alot of returning traffic to that domain, as long as the domain name is catchy

As far as imgur.com goes, it owes it's success to it's non invasive ads and the ability of any photo to use an infinate amount of their bandwidth without being taken down. It's extremely user friendly. Making a straight-up image hosting site is obviously not what you want to do, though. If you use wimp's model you can post all the content by yourself without worrying about it being taken down or being sued.

Wimp.com is utilitarian by nature. 2 ads for revenue, Facebook likebox for consistent traffic through status updates. It loads lightning fast, which lowers bounce rate. Why would you want a cut of ad revenue on someone else's site if you could easily make your own? The crappy template works, making your own version couldn't take more than a few hours. Wimp gets away with using other people's content with a strightforward copyright dispute process and by offering their users the url (not a link to) the original source.

The way Picq monetizes content isn't anything special, the pages are entirely covered in pop unders, ads to skip before the page loads, and ads covering 80% of the page itself. You're promoting your own viral content to a site for only a portion of the revenue it makes. Picq does not generate any traffic to itself, you do all the work and get part of the revenue. There isn't any way to browse through different images on picq, 100% of the views on your image are a direct result of your efforts, but you do not get 100% of the money.

I just don't see the benefit of signing up for this service if it makes you less or the same amount of money as quickly making a site with a shoddy template and some ads on it. You'd build a valuable domain and get more social media followers on a consistent basis.

    Just an idea....

Set up a landing page with the pic that also has a free world or warcraft guide offer, which is your own. Steal some other wow squeeze page idea. Then redirect on signup to wow clickbank offer and email wow offer to list.

Then use the same idea except have google page optimizer rotate your landing pages between different types of offers, make money, lose weight, pick up women, etc., and see which works best.

You opportunity lies in the huge traffic that you can learn from. Try three or four different ideas and start quantifying what works best.
