hey,

i have around 300,000 email adresses. Not scraped or anything but captured by a facebook app.

I have the following information:
First name, last name, Birthdate, gender, fbuserid, email adress

How would you monetize them? I thought about email marketing.
For that I need a high inbox rate. Any advices? Thought about mailchimp, cause they allow importing
without another confirmation mail, but the prices are scaring me a little.

I have already splitted them in different age groups and gender, i.e. male under 18, female under 18, male 18-30, female 18-30, male 31-40, female 31-40, male 40-65, female 40-65

Any ideas? How would you monetize them?

There are soooo many ways, mate. Can you tell a bit more, so that I can try to help? What's the niche, for example?

are world wide or from specific country or continent

That's the problem, i don't have a specific niche as it was a FUN app.
But as i've already said i've splitted the 300,000 mails into 8 groups, so I can send them better offers for their age.

Male: Under 18, 18-30, 31-40, 40-65
Female: Under 18, 18-30, 31-40, 40-65

I thought about sending the males under 18 ones browsergames or apple products, female 18-30 weight loss and health products.
I think a few thousands are possible. What you think? Any ideas?
Thanks for your reply

Yes, good job with the segmentation.
Check out this answer I gave to another guy:

If you want to make it in a safe way, try this steps:

1 - Get GSA Email verifier. The best one out there. It checks all your email list entries for valid email addresses and removes bad, invalid or bounce back emails. (I think you can get it for free, here on BHW). Search it.

2 - Most of the auto responders, like Aweber asks where did you get all your emails, after you import them there. And if you don't give them valid answers, like optin pages and so, they won't let you use their services to broadcast. So, get one that doesn't bug you with questions like that. I'm using Mailchimp.

NOTE: Don't use email senders that are not on a whitelist. Gmail, Yahoo and others has blacklisted some providers of bulk email senders.

3 - Create an email account on a provider like Godaddy, with private registration, and connect that account to mailchimp.

That's it. Again, use services that are whitelisted, always. Otherwise your email will go immediately to the spam folder of the recipients.

Thanks man,
thing that scares me a little is the cost of mailchimp.

Whats the point of godaddy and connecting it to mailchimp? Not sure how you mean that.

Thanks

I have a little secret regarding Mailchimp where you don't spend nothing :)

The point of creating an email account on Godaddy or other is to ensure that the emails don't be flagged as spam from the recipients. I mean, if you have a gmail email address, you will have more chances to go to the spam folder than with an email address from Godaddy.

any other ideas on how to monetize?
300,000 subscribers would cost me around 1,5k per month at mailchimp. for around 1,2 million emails in total.

you think this is worth it?

You can save cost with Express Mail Marketing , with 300,000 subscribers your cost are about 500$ with unlimited emails. Plus, if you want to try this business, i can send you a coupon for get 15% off.

Thanks for your answer. Is this a service by godaddy? and is it a whitelisting service, so emails will go to inbox instead of spam?
Thanks for your help, cheers

You're going to want to send them an option to opt-in before you do anything. Be as can spam compliant as possible. Good thing is you know these emails are legit facebook emails so you're not looking at too many honey traps.

Thanks for your answer. But tbh thats exactly the thing i dont want to do. I'll probably lose around 75% of my subscribers when I do that. So a service that allows importing without a confirmation email is needed. I don't see a point in sending them an option to optin again because they confirmed it by accepthing the app.

Yes , this is a godaddy service and it's a whitelisting service, but it's proibited spam or excessive bouncebacks. The service provides spam protection to prevent by checking the words in the emails that are exceeded limits and then assign it as spam. If you want i send you pm with details (you can also find them on the site godaddy), links, faqs and number of support team 24/7.
Sorry, but i can't post link here for now, i'm not yet registered member.

Have good work
Max
