Anyone had any luck with monetising videos on Twitter? Do you use videos to build up followers to the page, and then just post links to content sites once you have received those followers? Or do you use the video itself to monetise the page some how? What are your strategies?

Can be a bit difficult I tried it and got hit with DMCA's got 3 big twitter accounts suspended because of it, It can work if the videos don't get hit with DMCAs

was it the music in the video? or were you posting clips from movies or trailers?

Yes, going off what the above poster said, I'd perhaps use new accounts for the upload - then retweet with the main account.

Like with YouTube, you can place ads and sponsorships on your Twitter
content and make money
. To do that, just open up the Twitter Media Studio
and you can monetize your videos on Twitter.

The idea of retweeting with the main account and using new accounts to upload = the correct method

Dont let your brand get taken down because of the laze of wanting to do everything from one account

Save yourself the headache and have satellite accounts to post content that may violate terms

And only post the compliant content you are sure won't get you banned on the 'money account'

You're in for a bit of a hard time with the whole DMCA thing. At some point, even just vlogging then a copyrighted song plays audibly on a radio or something used to trip up the AI. It's probably gotten a lot better since the early stages but it might still be a little challenging. That said, you could opt in for Twitter's own monetization program. You can learn a lot about it on their own site. Good luck on that.
