How to manually build links?

I'm kind of a beginner at this since I've always used link building services. If I set up 10 weebly sites and just put a link on them to my YouTube video, will those count as backlinks? More manual methods are appreciated.

The issue with doing that is that the sites you create dont have backlinks to them, so you aren't really passing any kind of 'Link Juice' to your video. Ideally you want to either create a link network with different tiers, or manually create links from established sites - Blog commenting/Forum Sigs/Wiki Sites etc.

I recommend to use some scraper to get list of do follow blogs and post comments.

take some nice footprints install seoquake and find some nice blogs with +2PR which in your niche , and posts some every day .
